REFLECTIONS ON DECEASED CLASSMATES

EVEN THOUGH I OFTEN DEAL WITH ILLNESS AND DEATH, THE LOSS OF A CLASSMATE HAS AN UNUSUAL EFFECT UPON ME.

OUR CLASSMATES, FOR BETTER OR WORSE, ARE THE YARDSTICKS BY WHICH WE MEASURE OUR OWN MORTALITY. WE REMEMBER THOSE WONDER YEARS OF OUR YOUTH AND ALL WHO PLAYED A PART IN IT. THANKFULLY, GOD HAS GIVEN US A FILTER THAT STRAINS THE BAD MEMORIES AND PERMITS THE MORE ENJOYABLE TO STAY WITH US----PERHAPS FOREVER!
