EVERY FAMILY HAS WORDS OR PHRASES THAT HAVE LOCAL AND LIMITED MEANING. HERE IS PART 1 OF MY FAMILY'S LEXICON:
1. GREAT GRAHAM CREEK: Very likely this flowing liquid reservoir of delight and inspiration made its way through the beautiful Garden of Eden. This creek is as close to Heaven you can get without dying. I have often thought of having my ashes deposited in the Great Graham to give the fish a chance to get even.
2. TIGO: Name of legendary monster freshwater fish that has evade all family members for decades.
3. ROCKS, ROOTS, AND RIFFLES: Favorite boyhood fishing locations on the Great Graham Creek.
4. MC DUCKS: Alternate expression for McDonalds.
