Call Your Own Fouls
Iranian
inspectors inspecting their own nuclear weapons production facilities are very
much akin to a pickup game of basketball: “Call your own fouls” and remember
“No harm No foul.” Maybe Sgt Schultz’---
“I see nothing…nothing…nothing”--- is a more apt summary statement of a deal
that has little on the plus side for our country.
The advance
warning provision is like a children’s game of hide and seek:
“9,997…9,998,…9,999…and 10,000. Here I come ready or not!” Sadly, this treaty
is not a game. At a minimum, the survival of Israel is at stake, a reasonable
amount of stability in the Middle East is in the balance, the position of U.S.
leadership and trust in the world is on the line, ditto our own homeland
security, and even the future of mankind is in this chaotic mix.
This matter
is a politician’s dream come true. Vote against the treaty and yet vote to
sustain the President’s veto. Only in Washington, D.C. can you have your cake
and eat it too. It is way past time for all concerned to remember who they are
and who they represent. The history of America was not started in 2008 and it
will not end in 2016. The interests of America transcend the passing power,
legacy, and political gamesmanship of party or persons. The vast majority of
current national political persons will probably not even make the footnotes of
high school term papers just 20 years from now.

JUST WEST OF YESTERDAY
WHY DO I WRITE THESE LETTERS?
ReplyDeleteI FEEL STRONGLY THAT HISTORY WILL HARSHLY JUDGE THOSE THAT JUST WAITED AND WATCHED IN THE SHADOWS AS AMERICA FADED INTO THE SUNSET. I WANT FUTURE GENERATIONS TO KNOW WHICH SIDE I WAS ON !!!!
On this 9/11 remembrance day the world is a mess. In large measure because evil has not been confronted or wiped out. May Almighty God forgive us.
